Lost my best looking Geophagus Orange head

Last week I lost my one of a kind Geophagus Orange head from a blown fuse in my room. Went on vacation for 4 days and came back with all my adult orange head dead. Only three of his fries made it but man very sad moment for me since he is one of a kinda orange head compared to all the ones I have seen so far. Hopefully his fries turns out to look better or similar...cuz I am never going to see again. But I did freeze him up just to still have him.

Sorry for your loss, but great colors on that one!

Do you know about what age it was? Mine are coloring up nicely, but not at this level yet.
 
That is a beautiful eartheater.. Sorry for your loss.. Hopefully his fry can grow up to be like their father.

I feel your pain, I lost 4 last week because some java moss got caught up in filter and depleted oxygen level and 2 weeks prior I lost 4 to a weird fungus out of nowhere that maracyn knocke out in 1 day, abalios lived tapajos dies all but 1 male that's coloring up now. I have 2 now thankfully.

He was 3 years old but already had most of his colors at 3". The fry are only 2" and already have full orange to red heads already so it is a good sign but i hope the body look as nice. So far they look like normal with no shine.
 
Yeah i kind of figured that out after losing some of the fry years ago when I forgot to turn on my pump for an hour or so and a few of them died.
