I had set up a powerhead to get a little more aeration & flow in the tank and didn't think much about it. The intake is like a 1" diameter hole almost....apparently the perfect size for my little buddy to get stuck face first. Of course I'd read about them doing this, it just never really occurred to me.
I picked up an african brown knife last night, before I went to bed I decided to go take a look at the tank just to see what was going on. All seemed well and I was about to go, then realized that I hadn't noticed my larger sen & he usually comes out to say whats up...thats when I noticed his tail hanging straight up & down behind my driftwood. Once I got him out of there his face was a pretty bloody pulp
Now I don't know if I want to go get another since I like having the sen's as a pair. I'll probably wait a while. He was my favorite (and oldest) fish. Still only 3-4 months old, but still...
