So I learned a lesson with my fire eel.
To start I bought a small fire eel a few months ago and was growing him out in my 30 gallon untill he was big enough to go into my 125 with my cichlids.
Over the holiday weekend I got a wild hair and decided to try something new and traded all my africans in and picked up a 13 inch or so clown knife, a couple baby oscars and a baby aro. After dividing the tank and putting my new fish in the tank I thought my fire eel could move to the big tank.
Well to end the story the divider did not stop the eel who was probly six or seven inches from gettin to the other side and I believe becoming dinner. I searched the entire tank stirng up the sand. Both filters under rocks and everywhere around the tank. So I'm guessing it bacame a snack
Now I know they can get through the smallest cracks
