Had a power outage in the area and lost my largest bala yesterday, really bummed out about it. Thankfully the power is back on and my other bala's are doing ok, but this one was my big guy. He will be missed.

That sucks, man. He was a monster. I lost a couple large balas to a power outage a few years ago. They weren't that big, though.

Man that sucks. Sorry for your loss. We lost our power for 12 hours yesterday and I was paranoid about the fish the whole time.

How big are the others...got any pics?

Thanks everyone - I've got 5 other bala's, ranging from about 7-12". Will get some pics when I get home from work today. Very glad they're doing ok, lost a couple other fish from 2 other tanks while the power was out - but they were smaller and didn't hurt as bad as losing the bala.

Bummer that you lost him. Was a big one.

How big is your tank? How long have you had them?

Here's a couple pics of the rest of pack and my 2 oscars who had to get in the pics too. They were taken with my phone so not the best, sorry.

the one i lost was one of three I rescued last year who were in a 125 with 6 oscars plus lots if others. Poor things had missing scales and were skinny when I got them. The others I have I grew from about 2", probably had them 7 years.

Got them in a 210 with 84x24x24 dimensions. There's 5 balas, 2 O's and a couple plecos in there. Oh and a couple stray convicts.
