lost my o.b. today.....

while doing a water change today i found my beautifull ornate dead under some driftwood.. i tried everything to make him better but it was a lost cause. just wish i could have done more. my 4 year old son is very upset about him. he was our favorite fish he had such a great personality. just a very sad day for us, it sounds bad to get so emotional about a fish but i bought him when he was only about an inch long and i didnt think he would survive long but he grew to be almost 13 inches.....i just wish i knew what killed him

sorry for your loss, I lost mine too before, and it was the same size as yours, but now I am raising my other one. If you ever get another one, don't bother keeping them with tank mates, they are good with their own kind.

What kind of substrate do you have in yoyr tank?. I lost a 12" endli to grave ingestion. (confirmed by a post mortem "autopsy")
