Lost my 4" NGT-had not eaten since end August. I was trying to get it onto MP/cockles/fish. Would only ever eat bloodworm-bought it last December at 3".
Woke this morning to find it dead-no marks, scratches or sign disease-just a thin fish.
Won't ever do this again with a fish and I would warn those who do to be cautious-I'm absolutley gutted

Cheers mate-its black armbands for all the family today.
Will look to get another but try and get a bigger size-trouble is for a 3" one here they're £60

their must have been another sort of problem as 1 month without food is nothing for a healthy NGT

when trying other foods you should have still fed small amounts of blood worm

sorry for your loss

1 month without food is nothing

their must have been another problem for sure

i have had 4inch NGT go without food for 2 months easy

but if you think it was lack of food its your fish

sorry for your loss

I would guess something else was in play as well, or SDS.

Sorry to hear...

mine didn't eat frozen foods for 7 months but i still fed him a couple of times a week on earthworms and live river shrimp to keep him going, but agreed a month is not that long, have you checked water parameters etc ?

yep-nothing out of the ordinary. My other Tigers, Leaffish and Polys are all good.
Time span without food was 2 months not one
