One of my arowanas are gone. It is now resting in the belly of a beast. I have a tiger shovelnose catfish. It is much smaler than the arowana. But he still managed to get it down. Sad but incredible. Lucky me, it was the aro that didn`t eat. And the healthy one is in another thank. And there he will stay untill he is big enough.

that sucks. but did your Tsn eat the aro while it was alive or when it was dead. i lost a hujeta and a channa stewartii to a TSN. traded it for a senegal bichir tho

That sucks man. Sorry to hear about that. A while ago it was the other way around for me. I had a TSN once that was half the size of my silver and the silver ate it right away. Prolly was eyeing it from the floating bag. I was so pissed. But thats the way it goes with big fish that have even bigger mouths.

Wow $100

gud luck with your new babies!

This belongs in lessons learned for several reasons judging by the last few posts on these fish you purchased... Sorry dude but spending 50$ to feed your cat was a little drastick dont you think?

Another one of those if it will fit it will disapear...

I wouldn't put another one in with him, just because of the fact that he already ate one lol he won't think twice about another probably.

Most catfishes are not aggressive but due to their greediness, most of losses are due to this fact.

so many aros resting in peace or pieces lately, really sad...

darn......happens when you keep cat fish. they generally have larger mouths to swallow fish the same size or larger then them.
