Lost One of My Favorites :(

I came home yesterday from work to find him missing I thought he would be in a cave.. But when I didn't see him at night before I turned off the lights I looked behind the tank and there he was dead and dry .... I'm not sure why he jumped out.... there is a little space between the filter and glass lids enough for him to jump... Anyone have expierence with midas jumping out of their tanks? Luckily I still have about 15 2-2.5" fry that im growing out to replace him....

Sorry for your loss. I've had fish jump out of their tanks before and it's so disappointing.

Is there any chance that an insect could have landed on the lid and he was trying to catch it?

sorry for.your loss I recently had a femele dovii jump out of a 5 gallon bucket which required about a foot of jumping I wasnt happy when I went to put her back in with my male

Wow I'm so sorry he was beautiful. Definitely sux keep your head up.sometimes **** happens I've had fish jump too.
