So we lost power for about 5-6 hours today. I got to work at about 5:30 this morning after my hour and a half commute. My wife called me at 6:00 saying powers out. So I told her to call me at 7:00 when she leaves to go to work to see if it comes back on. Of course it did not. So after a couple phone calls I drive back home to set the generator up to keep everyone alive. So I get home about 9:00 only to find my generators not working. Then I make calls to find one to borrow. Cool I found one but its half an hour away. I jump in the truck and fly over to my cousins to pick it up then fly back home. Set it up and every thing seems to be running good till I look at the heater. I grab an extra one out of the garage and acclimate it, plug it in and pop it blows. Now I have to run and pick up a heater. I get back home and the powers on now. For s***s and giggles I plug the orgional heater back in just to see if it works still or not, and sweet it does. Seems that the small generator just couldn't run 2 fx5's, 1 hob, air pump and the heater. Needless to say everyone survived and my generators at a local small engine shop being repaired. Damn was I stressed and driving all over hell today.
