So I made a mistake at the LFS the other day and bought a nice 6" S. Fryeri to replace the male I had lost a few months ago. I didn't realize until after I got home with the new guy that I should have been looking for was a Pseudotropheus Aurora, not S. Fryeri.

So yesterday I did my normal ~40% water change and decided to bump the temp up 2 degrees to 80. Apparently, that was the magic sauce.

In the last 24 hours since the change, I've watched this studly Fryeri mate with a Pseudotropheus Aurora, Placidochromis Milomo, and 2 Copadichromis Azureus... The only other hap in the tank he hasn't bred with (yet..?) is my Nimbochromis Fuscotaeniatus. Are any of these combinations viable, or will they just be dead eggs?

I am kind of curious to see what the Fryeri x Aurora will look like if they are viable.

At the very least, my 1.5" Black Calvus has eaten enough eggs in the last day to make him about as big around as a marble. Looks like a goofy goldfish he's so fat.
