LOUD air pump!

I just got the Super Luft Pump - 3.9 psi air pump and my god is it LOUD! It is in the basement and you can still hear it all over the house, and I have an 8000 sq ft house. It is going back today and I will get the RENA400.

Anyone else try this pump to confirm that I just didn't get a bad one?

Try putting a foam pad or sponge underneath it to absorb the vibrations. Works for my noisy air pumps.

It came with attached rubber feet which isolate it pretty well. You can hold it in your hand in fact and it is still loud as can be. I think this is designed more for commercial use where no one will notice all the noise. Whatever happened to the Silent Giants?
