Loud Aqua-Tech 30-60

So as the header states this filter has gotten so annoying and loud lately. I play with the U-tube to the motor and nothing works. I took the lid off that doesnt help either. I dont get it, it was fine the first two weeks.

Any suggestions? BTW it's brand new.

If its a grinding sound, check the impeller for sand. If its just noisy, you could have a crack in the tube somewhere above the waterline & its sucking in air causing cavitation. Does it have trouble priming?

Make sure the impeller's in right also. Mine has gotten messed-up a few times somehow and starting wobbling around. It makes quite a noise, like a grinding almost.
