I was wondering how loud an aqua clear 70 is. It will be about 6 ft from my bed so will it be too loud for me?

btw, do you think the flowrate for an ac70 on a 30 gallon tank is unnecessary high? I rather get the ac 50 and save 15 bucks!

Go for the 50 if your tank isnt too heavily stocked, but i dont think you'll notice much difference in noise.
All of my AC filters are VERY quiet.

Yes Im sure it will be fine. I have a ac 110 and it is as quiet as can be.

my ac 50 is very quiet, the other one is old and something is wrong with it and its not very loud either. my whisper 40 on the other hand is really loud.

I have an AC70 on a 37 gallon. It is very quiet and the flow rate seems perfect for the tank. It disturbs the surface just slightly and does a great job cleaning up the water.

Filter changes (theres seperate foam, carbon, and bio-media pieces) are easy as cake too. I really really like them.

PS. The foam filter is easy to see when it needs to be changed, but how often do the carbon and bio-media pieces need to be changed out?

I run a AC 70 and a Fluval 305 on my 37g tank and it seems fine. If you think that the waterflow is too high, you can always adjust the setting on the top. As far as the loudness goes, I used to have this tank 1 foot from my ear when it was in my bedroom, and the filter was on my side of the tank. The filter itself is very quiet, however the water splashing can be loud if you dont monitor the water level and keep it pretty full.

Good Luck!

it depends on the water level.but it still wouldnt be that much of a problem
