Well my Q1 9000 finally crapped out. Took it apart and noticed the ceramic pin cracked. I was wondering why the tanks water level seemed low.
Thank goodness I kept my original pumps that I was going to use for the 240 and 125...Mag 2400. Long story short...removed the Q1 9000 and placed in the Mag 2400 with some modifications. Since the Q1 9000 has 1.5" MPT and the mag uses 1" FPT for intake and 1" MPT for output..what a pain in the arse.
But to my surprise the MAG is HELL of lot quieter than my Q1...which is weird..when I first installed the mag 2400..sucker was unbearably loud and which is why I went with the Q1.
Go figure..the only noise I hear is from the other Q1 9000 that is still running. I had to double check to see if the Mag 2400 was running.
Shame that Q1 9000 is way too loud and the fact they use ceramic pin inserts for the impeller.

Debating if I should even bother replacing the impeller although the pump was purchased 5 months or so ago.
