today i got off my lazy ass and did a water change. i couldn't find my 5 gallon bucket to refill the tank and i couldnt use the water hose because stupid snow storms here in colorado. so i had to refill half of my 150 gallon tank with a small pitcher!!!!!!!!...WOW.......anyone else had similiar experience?

How often do you do water changes? If you can't find them then you must have someone in your house that is overly concerned with neatness or you don't do them enough.

Save some money up and get a Python.

I use buckets to refill my tanks too, but it is a cardinal sin punishable by DEATH to touch my buckets!!!!!!

I let the wife top off the tanks with (2) 1 gallon containers. She likes the exercise she gets by running up and down the steps. As far as water changes, those are left to me. I use a hose attached to the utility tub faucet.

I used to use a hawaiian punch bottle.

Buy a python hose

Oh and the string is to keep my thermometer from getting sucked into the intake, not attached to the dechlorinator bottle.
