My livebearer tank has floating wisteria for fry to hide in, the loaches love to hang out there. They feel secure amongst the plants, and you get to see them all the time!
I have some pennplex 24" plants that fell apart in my 55 and between the Bettas and the Weather loaches, my floating plants are like a second community.
