:irked: Fought through the new tank syndrome and ended up with green water; I mean, the greenest water i've ever seen. I've never owned a tank ever that turned green.:irked: I've pretty much replaced all of the water and it won't clear up at all.
I ended up running a diatom filter the last 24 hours and it's STILL green.
Man, starting to piss me off.
Just ranting.:(

get a uv steraliser

is there tons of sunlight? are there fish in it? try emptying the tank completly and changing all your media and filtration padding. and if there is sunlight, try reducing all sunlight if possible.

I had this problem once on an established tank. I covered the tank so no light could get to it, a few days later all the algae had died and the water was clear. I cut back on feeding and it has never happened again.

The tank is stocked and only about 6 weeks old so I can't empty it completely. It really doesn't get sunlight but obviously i've been keeping it lit way too many hours a day!
