Low grade FH?

I saw a flowerhorn today about 4" for $10 and I was wondering what you guys think?I have a 75 to put him in right now insta-cycling it would be the only prob,and a minor one at that.

He looks like he could grow up to look like the ones Ive sen called "red dragon" or something like that?long flowing fins and some reds and silvers.

Whatya guys think?No Impulse buys for me today?!!

And if it is low grade can I not get it to color up pretty fair with a good diet?

Its $10 and would be my first FH I was just wondering what you guys think.

I suppose I'm asking If a $10 FH would likely even be worth purchasing.Will I be able to color it up?Its not all that much worse in colors from what some others are calling "nice looking" so Im not sure.I think Im going to get it and then ask if you guys can "grade" it for me.

It looks like the top picture yes.Thats not so bad though is it?Its not ugly by a long shot,I would pay much more than $10 for your specimen.The one I saw today has quite a bit longer finnage.I think I'm going to grab it.

How big is that one in your pic BTW?At 4" I can probably get some better color out of him with a bunch of market shrimp and NLS,no?

he was 6"
i also fed him with market shrimps...no matter how much you feed them with high quality food its gonna stay like that

LOL I dont know what I was thinking,today is sunday.I got as far as the LFS parking lot before I remembered this lfs is closed sundays and mondays.

Well new FH coming on tuesday then,hehe

they will color up abit better with better food,but its mostly in the gene!
