I used the api test strips and my KH is 40..

which is why ive been having bad NH4 readings!
now my tap water is 7.4 but gases off and becomes around 6.0-6.4!
So i was wondering if adding a little bit of crushed coral would be the answer and changing my W/C regime to help with a drastic shift. I was thinking 3 20 percent changes a week with 1kg of crushed coral in my XP4
any thoughts?
