i have a 29 gallon tank with and the stock hood it came with which is a 20 watt hood with i think a 24" 8000k bulb. my plants are
jungle vals
amazon swords
java fern
red crypts
green crypts
anubia nana

should i get a co2 system? i was thinking of purchasing the fluval 88g co2 kit. i also dose flourish comprehensive twice a week.

If you use that light and add c02 youll end up with more algae than anything else in the tank. Plants need high light to be able to make full use of added c02. To be honest im not sure how well any of those plants will do with sucj low light anyway. sure theyre gonna live, but they wont thrive. One thing you might try is to retro fit a 24in t5 bulb onto your tank. Go the a home depot or similar store and buy what ever t5 fixture they have thatt will fit inside your hood, then ask the persome who runs the lfs to order you a 67k t5 bulb of that length.
