Pretty sure my cycle has once again died. I have been having major issues keeping the PH at 7, but usually it's closer to 6 unforuntately. Ever since this issue, my nitrates went right back down to 0 along with the ammonia and everything else. Seriously? I thought about purchasing these to help maintain the PH:

The PH Up and PH Down I have aren't doing jack crap to adjust the levels. Did my good bacteria and cycle die?

wow. i dont think 6.5 is bad. if you want to raise it get the neutral regulator and add it to the water before you put the water in the tank if its not too big of a water change.

Yea that is why I don't understand why the tank PH keeps at 6.0 if even that. And my nitrates have died off again.

Your ph is fine, and it's not going to affect your bacteria. Some folks who breed wild discus have PH of 4-5. And stop messing with the PH, just leave it alone :)

And the reason your PH is different from the tap is because of co2. Take a cup of tapwater and let it sit for 24hrs, to allow the co2 to reach equilibrium with the atmosphere. Then take a PH reading. That will be your true figure.
