Are any of the large growing "lower jaw" species tolerant of lower temps during winter, say low to mid 70's with an occasional dip to high 60's? If not, what would be a reasonable lower temp range?
I thought high 60's might be ok for short periods, but I don't want to risk an animal like this without some advice. Thanks for your input King-eL. Anyone else have experience with low temps?
not a pond, but i now see the folly of my idea. no way i can keep an outdoor tank in the high 70's through winter here. water temps in the high 60's are inevitable on the coldest nights.
lots of knowledgeable folks on this forum and i value your experiences and opinions. thank you all for your advice.
