I was wondering what's the lowest temperature one can go with severums without having any issues or being uncomfortable?

I've been running his tank without a heater for the first time this year (indoor temperature very stable) but now that the weather is much cooler outside, the tank has been slowly cooling down and it is at 73 degrees. (Normally for the rest of the year, it sits at around 78)

I've kept other fish like this before without any issues, including oscars and GT's, but wanted to see if others had experiences with severums in particular.

He's still very active and bossing everyone around as usual.

I try to keep mine above 24°C, but a few times I've forgotten to plug in my heaters for a week and they dropped down to the 20° range and seemed unphased.

Oops, That's 75°F and 68°F.

If it's only dropping to 73°F then a heater isn't going to cost much to bump it up just a few degrees.

Hah well. Let's just say anything and everything lol

I had some live bearers that slowly disappeared. Basically all the plants I tried to introduce including pothos, all the snails I used to have in the tank, algae and anything that goes in the tank.

Staple diet is omega one pellets, krill or shrimp pellets and worms occasionally.

Yes. I have a Red-Spotted Severum and my heater went out recently during a colder night and the temperature dropped to about 70 degrees Fahrenheit from 79 degrees. It didn't seem to phase the Severum or any of my fish for that matter. I think 73-74 isn't too bad but it's recommended for them to be like 78-79 degrees Fahrenheit. Very nice Severum by the way!
