No, if I noticed that then I would know the difference between the two, which I dont. But give me a few minutes, let me read this beginners intro and I'll get back to you. ;)

Okay Jess, I now know that their is a difference between the jaw of some of the species. In my case I have senegalus, ornate, and delhezi all upper jaw. With the ornate apparently growing the largest of these.

Then I have endlies (sp?) (is this the same as endilicheri endilicheri?) which I believe belong to the lower jaw (i am writing this before going upstairs to the tank and checking). From what I gather the lower jaws are bigger polys.

So the reason you seperate is because of potential size difference? Or is there more to it than that.

lower jaws often have the potential to eat upper jaws.. and often a bit more aggressive even though I would say the ornates are the most aggressive. not that you will usually have a problem putting them in the same tank
