I have set up a tank ready for a couple of rays and i need to lower my ph level? Currently it is 8.0 and i could do with getting it down a bit, i am running a sump which has alphagrog, carbon, filter sock and i was wondering if i could put a layer of peat beneath the alphagrog to lower the ph and soften the water? Would this work?
