I know, completely unmonster, but i got 2 10 gallon tanks that i was using for an albino senegal growout and to breed my small convicts that are now not so small and in the 55gallon growout and the babies are slowly being removed.

My plans are to take one of them and use a 19 watt strip flourescent and a 15 watt screw in flourescent along with a little DIY yeast CO2 and have a nice planted home for my pair of golden german rams.

I'm thinking HC, hairgrass, some vals for the back and maybe a little bit of random plants for the middle of it.

So thoughts, ideas? Anybody with a nice planted 10 gallon to share?

my most sucessful single plant came from a 10 gallon palnted guppy tank..... the only problem with diy co2 is its hard to be consistant with your levels and rams dont like rollercoasters i persoanly would invest a little its so much easier

Your lighting level is far too low for any really good carpeting plants. HC and hairgrass are out of the picture. You are going to be stuck with the low light plants only.
