The LR is curing? I have read that discolored water is pretty normal at this point, (no personal experience), they say daily water changes during the cure.
It's pretty normal. Lots of organics being broken down and being processed. Efficiant protien skimming will help as will water changes and carbon.
On a side note, check your water quality too. It is a common occourence that a live rock curing set up has pretty lousy water quality. The problem is that all the cool stuff on the live rock will die if the water is alloud to get real bad. My curing set up is filtered by a fully established wet dry with a ETSS reef devil protien skimmer. It works pretty well at having minimal loss on the live rock.
When you're curing LR, you're going to get the yellow water and funky smells. Its due to the ammonia produced from the LR. Let it go and do 25% water changes weekly. Cure the LR for a good month. You can also put a sack of activated carbon in a high flow area (like a sump or filter box). This will help to clear it up.
