I opened my lid up earlier to feed my fish. Then i realised i'd left some food in the kitchen so i went back in to get it. Literally 4 or 5 seconds it took. When i got back into my fish room the cat was going bananas in the corner of the room at the side of the tank. Then i saw one of my cigar barbs flapping about in its paws. Luckily it was just pawing it so no damage done. Wow! Maybe another 4 or 5 seconds and that would have been a dead cigar barb. My heart was in my mouth. I tell you, one moment of complacency in this hobby and it can lead to disaster. Be alert guys, especially if you have known jumpers.

So easy to lose your favourite fish, if my aro jumped I'd be devastated, I lost a baby aro and channa before due to tiny gaps and in weighted lids.
