I mentioned to a few of you guys how interactive this wolf fish is, so I made a little vid.....

She knows feeding time is in the evening and seems the whole tank becomes more active the later it gets, so I recorded this at lights on this AM. They were fed a bunch last night, so I thought she might be lazier then normal.... :grinno: When the camera shifts at the end of the tank I gave her a little wave and she swims right over, and will go back and forth.....

She's a blast, but unfortunately I don't have much time to spend with her. Vinnyrom (previous owner) must have though. I think he got her from Fugupuff (Wes) like 5-6+ years ago. A real people fish.... lol

That's a good looking tank, I love that combination I'm just surprised she hasn't taken out any of her smaller tankmates. So she still has that lateral line erosion huh?

Yup. Lateral line hasn't seemed to change, but I never tried the Metro either since I was messing with the water (PH/TDS).....

This group's actually been pretty trouble free. No Wolf fights yet, Aimara is only a few inches shy of Lucy. The Masheer almost seem small enough to be feeders, but nobody's caused any problems.

Love all the activity in the tank. Tons of movement......

I think the only difference i see between your lacerdae and my Iguazu is that my Iguazu had a wider head, thicker body and bright red fins. Apart from that they look completely identical.

I think my Lucy just looks skinnier cause she's put on some serious length since I got her. She looked like a tank when I picked her up from a 120 gallon tank. After being in the 750 for a while she seems to be on a more length less girth kick. She might be pretty close to the 20" mark now.

This is why I freaked out when Richard posted pics of the Iguaza you ended up with..... I agree they share so many similarities there has to be something there..... And like I've said we've had "Red Lacerdaes" offered over here, but people just wrote them off as "Mala Variants". There's a guy on this board that traded one off cause he didn't think it was a Lacerdae.....Wonder if this same fish is still with RT4?????

I've since bought one of these little "Iguazas" that were imported recently...... Sounds like I might have the little bugger here in a few days. VERY excited..... Thanks to you guys across seas who I believe may have helped us with this "Red Lacerdae Hoplias sp. Iguaza" riddle.....

It's the stuff like this that keeps fishkeeping interesting, and people like Wes (Fugupuff) that keep bringing in the goods that provide us reasons to keep reading and researching...... Thanks for keeping us going Wes!!!!!! :)
