While I do agree that he took plenty of risks, he also gave so much to conservation and study of them, especially their level of intelligence. RIP.
 
Which is exactly why it is a sad day. A big supporter and helper of all herps and the community surrounding them has passed.

WHAT ABSOLUTLY TRAGIC LOSS OF A WONDERFULL PERSON THAT LOVED THESE ANIMALS, shure hope the sactuary idea goes further and that he´s life legacy is remenbared, respected and the cause of aww to many generations to come in the form of a secure future in captivity for the king cobra.
