lumens

2 x 5K led reading lights for the pothos above the tank and on for ~2 hours a day. Without the pothos, no lights and only room ambient light, as the fish don't need the overhead lights, and it allows them to see further outside the tank.

Twenty 48" 4100K T5 linear fluorescent tubes over the tank. We have five Simkar Reflect-a-Bay lights with four tubes in each. At about 4500 lumens each, it comes out to 90,000 lumens.

We have two switches, so we can have two, three, or all five light units on.

is about 4000 lumens a lot?

Actually its the PAR rating you need to be looking at not a lumen.

Lumens is rating for us folks to see better

PARs is for the plants

Hope that helps

Cheers

how many lumens do you have over your aquariums?

Based on the specs of the LEDs, should be about 13,000. Based on the 160W power draw and LEDs rated at 80 lm/w. I suspect it's more like 3-4K though due to them being 3-4 year old LEDs and poor heat sinking.
