I just read of luminescent Jack Dempseys for sale. (Glo-in-the-dark)

Has anyone had any experience with them and are they as or more (durable) as the Danios that glo?

No idea, i'm not sure how I feel about this particular trend. I don't have any problem with hybrids, but this... It's cool though.
I'm not sure how I feel about fancy goldfish. ;)

I have not heard of them bio-engineering JD, my wife has a glo tank, bio-engineered barbs, danios, cardinals, perhaps 35 in all, they used the genes from jelly fish and I forget what other mollusks, they are blue, green, yellow, orange and red, can only be sold in the US except California. they are very cool looking and just as hardy as un-altered fish. Its my understanding that they no longer need to be altered and birth them with this trate now, no ideal if that's true.

my opinion these hardy guys, have had no problems with them, all been in the 75g over a year and act just like any other fish.
