There will be a lunar perigee on saturday night. The moon is orbiting closer to us at just 221,567 miles away the closet it's been since 1992. This will make it larger in the night sky and brighter. I thought I'd take a shot of it incase it is cloudy saturday night. Already looks bigger in the sky. I'm not a telephoto type of photographer so this is just using my 85mm prime. I'd like to see a few guys on here with 600mm F4's taking some shots, perhaps with a 1.4 TC.

Come on guys, if its a clear night saturday, get out those lenses.

(yeh...I didn't bother with a tripod):headbang2

ps the nearest tree was VERY close to me so it is slightly out of the DOF, don't get too hung up on it, I think it works generally!
