A spotted ralph has a small max size and a very slow growth rate so I was wondering will a Lima be able to eat it? or will the raph's armor help it from becoming lunch?

from my experiences with limas they aren't as aggressive as u'd think. mine is 15" and won't even eat feeder comets. but if u do have an unusually hungry one the armor will definitely help keep it from getting eaten. how big of a lima and how big of a raphael are we talking? if it's a real tiny raphael there's a possibility but if u make sure u'r lima never goes hungry i doubt much will happen especially if u have hiding places for your lil guy since u'll rarely see em come out.

i do too...there's no way a lima that size could eat much more than a guppy. as far as the growth rates the lima will grow a lot faster but i still don't think he'd take after the raphael. that should be a pretty safe combo.

O just remembered that when I got the lima from the LFS, it got stuck to the net so the guy cut the net and there is a piece of netting on it. Should i take it off? if yes how?

it would be a good idea cuz the net isn't biodegratable. it's hard but you need to catch the fish again in something other than a net. i suggest a plastic container or the like. carefully get ahold of the guy and gently cut the net away with a super sharp utility knife or exacto blade. but be real careful.

while after a long careful and sweaty cutting I got the net off, BUT I found out that its fin (the bone or spike part) is split in two:( . Will this be permanent (most likely yes)? And if yes, will this affect it (swimming wise behavior wise, future injuries, etc)?
