Lunch time Mayans

Lunch time fishing today. Normally these fish are so common but after cold spell they were rare but now seeing big adults slowly back in canals but no Oscars or Jags which frequent same canal and used to be so common..

Caught these 2 today at 1pm with earthworms . One was large the other medium.

Those are small compared to the ones I finally saw today. I dont think my pictures came out with this crappy Iphone camera. maybe ill bring a camera down to the spot later this week...

Its very hard close to impossible to get a good pic in the water. Unless the fish is "posing" and water crystal clear its hard.

I have tried of even bright red devils and came out blurry . PB are another story as for such big fish they spawn in such shallow water in such bright sun but Mayans are very hard regardless of size.

You can see three mayans and one tilapia marie... Alot more there and alot bigger. ITs what my Iphone could capture...
