It is OK to drop a mirror in with Norm once a day for a few minutes or every other day for physical and mental excercise? It would be for short periods of time so not to have him depend upon the mirror. Check out the vid...

thanks...jus tgot him a few days ago. BTW, are you watchin this clown on natgeo catchin arapaima??

Cool video. How did you hang it in the tank? Your FH is beautiful.

Thanks I attached a $1.00 parakeet mirror to a zip tie and attached that end to a suction cup with a loop. You can find them in ur LFS by the aeration section. I only put it in once a day for a half hour or so, or every other day. I am afraid he may either build a resentment or fall in love, either way I dont want him to get dependant upon his mirror. I guess thats right, right?

I have two parrots so I have one of those mirrors. I think I will try one in the tank with my FH.

Chick, from what I've read do not keep the mirror in too often, because they can become attached to it. Then, when its not there they can get lonely. If it is permanently put in the tank, its all they will do. It will completely consume them. Its just what I've read...no experience myself. BTW, it took him sometime to get used to it.
