lung in a pond?

i know Gordon's AUL breeding facility is in a big pond but has anyone kept an annectens in a pond? i ask coz Maynard (my lung) has grown from 7"(Feb 07) to 22"(Feb 08).he lives in a 90 gal now and i would like to transfer him to a vacant pond but am not sure if he's gonna try to get out.
