Lungfish bleeding from anal? 8 Years old. (Protopterus annectens annectens )

Seems like he is bleeding smal amount of blood from the anal opening?
What is this? Cancer? Someone experienced this? Havent eat food for 3 weeks now

Does it look like there are red threads coming from the anus? If so, Could be callamanus worms. Could you post some pics of the fish, so others with more experience could chime in.

Hmmm, a wound for this long shouldn't keep bleeding like that. Wounds generaly stop bleeindg within the day. This might be contiually caused by an internal parasite. You could treat the tank with API General Cure or just Hikari PraziPro. If those do not help in a week, the next thing would be treating for round worms with levamisole.

You might also want to consider treating for a secondary bacterial infection afterwards with kanaplex.
