Hi everyone. In the next year or two, I've been thinking about building a large tank (350-500gal) and populating it with a variety of fish....hopefully. I've always been facinated by lungfish (and also stingray), and I know that most (if not all) of the fish I will name are compatible with each other, but I'm not sure if they would be compatible with a lungfish (either a south american or australian, I know enough that africans do not play well with others). My ideas as tankmates would be:
Stingray (either one or a pair, probably motoro)
Clown Loach
Yo-yo Loach
Discus
Angels
Gourami
Rainbowfish (boesmani)
Eels (peacock or fire)
Also, would a south american and an australian get along at all, or would there be territorial issues? I figure, if I do make this sort of community tank, I would start out with the smaller fish (Discus and loaches, for example), grow them out, add the ray, grow him out a tad, and then add a young lungfish (less than a foot long) so that he would not try bullying (eating) the other fish. Thanks for any input.
