At the lfs the other day I saw a lungfish listed as a African lungfish. Since they constantly mislabel there fish I just wanted to make sure that is what it really is.
It is about 9 or 10 inches and dark grey. It still has it's external gills and just a few light spots on his body. Their are black uniform spots all in a line going down his tail. The spots kinda look like the spots on a clown knife. I know it is hard to ID without pics but any help would be appreciated.

urm...
there are 4 different kinds of african lung.
so...
its most likely dolloi or annectens.
if its near black with light spots it may be a south american lung.
but they lose their external gills earlier then the africans.
i think we need pics.

I'll go for an african...and either an Aethiopicus or Annectens...they both show these spots on their tail.

South American lungss have light yellow spots on their body's when small.

are you going to pick it up?
