Thanks. I've read up on lungfish but still have a hard time telling the differences. Was hoping it was South American.

Rearranged my tanks and picked this guy up. Couldn't turn it down. He seems to be happy, just waiting a few days for him to eat

He is just about 22 inches in the tank. I was reading usually up to 30 in captivity. Should I expect more growth or will it be very slow if it happens?

I think 30" is on the low end of average. Any idea of the age? That would help to guess about further growth.

Unfortunately I don't know the age. He outgrew someone's tank and found his way over to me. Fortunately he looks quite content sitting along the side of the tank. Looking forward to seeing him eat but it has only been 2 days so far.

Have you tried feeding it a chunk of tilapia? They are very aggressive eaters.

Right now I have massivore and market shrimp. My stingray tank cleaned me out of tilapia
