Hello just stumbled onto this site by chance. 20 years ago i bought my first tank and filled it with any fish that i thought was intresting not realizing how big certain fish would become. I had a jewel snakehead, albino tiger oscar, dragonfish, sicilian wormfish, african lungfish even a water dog . Well i learned the hard way ( i had no internet access then and was 15) that this was a bad idea. At the beginning of August the last fish from that tank passed away my african lungfish he had been in the tank by himself for near ten years.
I recently got a new lungy only 6" a huge contrast to the 3' monster that filled up my tank before. Hopefully i can share some things ive learned and learn a few things myself that is how i found this site! I am also planning a 300 gal tank for our finished basement in the spring and would appreciate any help in the future Im thinking a ray or 2 and an arowana.
