Dear all,

My lungfish stop eating recently. However, I cannot see any skin infection. Is it because of the weather, Hong Kong is rather cold this winter but I have placed a heater and there is no improvement.

Pls. kindly advise what I should do because I love that fish very much.
Thanks.

Hey man! I'm from Hong Kong too.
Tell me how I can help you.
I don't know much about lungfish, but I'm interested in becoming acquanted with other fishkeepers (proper ones) in Hong Kong.

I'll PM you.

Happy CNY.

LUNGFISH ARE REALLY FLEXIBLE WHEN IT COMES TO WATER TEMPERATURE...MY PHILOSOPHY FOR FEEDING FISH IS:WHEN THEYRE HUNGRY,THEYLL EAT....IF THERES NOTHING THAT SEEMS TO BE WRONG WITH HIM...HES PROBABLY NOT HUNGRY...

Mine stopped eating for a while and then I was told that lungfish do not eat much when the temp goes lower. I'm in SoCal and so it gets hot here, but in winter I put in a heater and keep it same temp. as in summer. Did not realize they were sensitive to temperature. Also, try a new food. Not sure what you feed him, but i feed mine thawed seafood - he loves it. I've also seen people try weird things like hotdogs of all things. I used to feed mine carnivore pellets. Check water perimeters too. Even though most don't breathe thru gills they still love perfect water. Make sure he has lots of room to stick his head out of the water so he can breathe easily...I'm sure I'm going over board here....
