what kind of lungfish is it? African? Australian? South American? if you can post a pic we can better help you and advise a course of action. for now, it is good that you have it separated from other fish. i would bump up the water changes to 50% every other day or every 2 days. add 1 tbsp of salt for every 20 gallons of water as well, and maintain that concentration after water changes. raise temperature to 82 F.--

again, pics will help, but keep us posted--

If it is an aussie do not add salt

Well I can't be 100% sure but I tend to stick to Gordon's strong recommendation to never add salt to an AUL tank.

I have treated my AULs with salt in the past with no problems.

i thought the aussie lung fish is a protected speice's.

They are protected! You can buy them from a farm in Australia where they have captive bred them. In order to get one from that farm you have to get permits and other things.
