lungfish with bichirs

im just planning to buy one african lungish that i saw in our lfs for only 52 USD

NEVER trust a lungfish, especially an african. Doesnt matter which fish your gonna keep with it, one day it (most likely) will kill the others.

african lung are pretty mean.. He might try to bite the bichir. IDK about the other lung specie but I used to own afro lung myself and he can get aggressive.

get a sal or aul instead... africans = single specimen tank

African Lungfish are unpredictable and all of them have powerful bite. It might work for a while but there is no way to tell when it will start snapping and crushing the bichirs. It's probably a West African lungfish as they are commonly available.

The only lungfish that is the most tolerant of all is the Austrlian lungfish. South American can be mix with bichirs too, but there are some that are unpredictab;e as well.

I will also watch out for the Pleco as it might develop a taste for the bichir's slime.

i have an afican lung fish he's about 20" i've had him for about 1 year him and 3 of my 6 bichir started of all together at about 5" but he just out grew them the biggist bichir is just at 14" an as of now i have not had anyproblem with him .check them out in my album
