iam new to lungfish , i was thinking if getting some tanks in my bedroom and how long can keep one in a 101 x 50 x 41 cm tank or 121 x 55 x 41 cm tank , don't know what specis because i don't what is the cheaper to buy in uk or the one what has slowest grow rate.

I was thinking of getting a south american lung a while back (might still get one one) and this is what i got http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=168801. westfricans and the south americans are the least expensive over here £30-£80

so west africans or south americans lungfish do anybody know how long i can keep on one in 120cm x 37 cm x 52 cm tank

Id go for a west african ive found south americans to be much more sensitive. You can pick em up at 8-12" for around £30 over here thats how much we sell em at.

And no i wouldnt risk handfeeding them if they get your finger or hand it will hurt, a large one can remove sink and break bone.

Ive got my WAL from 12-22" in 11 months, i kept mine with silver dollars but he took 2 of them out, now hs with 3 oscars
