in the wild, thats when its body of water dries up and the fish is forced to burrow into the mud and go into a hibernation-like state. Doesn't happen in the aquarium.
 
what if i were to empty my tank and fill it with mudd
 
it'd bust thru the glass and chew your ****in balls off, and then you'd never finish puberty.
