IN FISH PARADISE
well i want to understand the punnett square more

so let this be practically

now i did breed a Male LuoHan Flowerhorn and a Female Parrot

and the fry does not look like each other .. some with pearls some without some with clear red eye some bigger in size some is not the same body shape as the others ( more shorter while still same size )

so how can i put that info in the Punnett square and determine what the fry will look like

and i was thinking that may be i can get something good from the low grade normal luohan FH sth cool bright in color as if i use the FH Male and then cross him with other to get some characteristic ( like pearls from texas - head from midas .. )

can i do this with Punnett square ??

if yes how ?!

Please don't take too much offense to this but that FH is one of the lowest qualities I think I have EVER seen in my life... I don't know what kind of square your talking about but IMO there is no accurate method of determining what your fry will look like or percentages of traits in them either... Its a crapshoot with any hybrid. With using a parrot like u have you will get a few faders, a few short bodied fish and the rest should look like mud.

It's true, it's difficult to estimate with hybrids because you don't know which phenotypes are associated with which alleles and if they are heterozygous/homozygous for those traits. It would work if you knew more about your fish's DNA, but they have a whole bunch of dominant and recessive traits which we aren't aware of.

LOL  me too bro that is the lowest fish i have ever seen ..

but i have not payed any thing in it so no problem having it as a trying field lol

ok then punnett square is out of my hybridizing calculations ..

Punnet squares dont really work on hybrids too well. Too unpredictable.
