Looking for some ideas of lures I could try in the Keys this year. Frequent catches are snappers, tarpon, groupers, permit, pampano and sheepshead among more. What lures can I use?

Pompano silly jigs work wonders.

+1 but not sure if you will find them in the keys, they are kind of a panhandle thing. Gotchas always work well for fish like spanish or lady fish and any jacks in the area. The key for the gotchas is to fish them FAST and erratically. If you see the fish flashing at it but not hitting speed it up. Dont worry its impossible to fish them too fast as the fish will always be faster then you. For snapper and sheepies use the technique I described in the sheepshead thread on this page.

Tarpon are tough but live bait will be your best bet, same for the grouper.

what live bait do you use for tarpon? They always swarm at White street pier in the evenings.
