Noticed that Luteus are coming in a big way to aquarists these days.

I am getting a phase 2 tomorrow as well.

Just a quick check to any of you who kept Luteus that went from phase to phase:

Was it just a natural occurrence?

Any recommended diet, deco or water parameters that you believed hastened the process?

Appreciate your thoughts and insights on this. Sincere thanks.

Feed my pair veggies and what ever my rays get. My largest has made some slight changes along back its back as for as color change.

I have a thread or 2 on color change and luteus if you search but the bottom line is no one as of yet knows why or when they change phase or why some never make the change.

They eat everything and are resilient to most water parameters - before they became readily available they were reported to be more of a cold water fish but mine do well at the other temps. I try to keep most of my tanks around 78 to 80. Hope that helps.
